The aim of the project is to strengthen the industrial base in the
partner regions of Upper and Lower Austria, Vienna, Vysocina and South Moravia in the field of radio technology, digital communication and their applications. Special objective is the promotion of business investments in the field of R&D by leveraging synergies and cooperations between companies (with focus on SMEs), R&I centers and the tertiary education sector.
Companies face the challenge of developing RF circuits operating at GHz frequencies. Circuit design as well as legal requirements demand special know how and expensive measurement equipment. The latter particularly puts a big financial burden on startups and SMEs.
The project AMOR offers education seminars especially suited for startups and SMEs. The main objective of the project is to develop an affordable modeling platform for RF systems and devices. This platform enables the measurement of RF parameters at a cost financially feasible for startups, as well as the creation of mathematical models, which can be used in simulation during the development of RF systems. To keep this platform cost-effective, off-the-shelf components will be employed as wide as possible.
